I think it blows my 60CSx away, and I love that unit. PN-Series receivers also display market-leading Navionics lake maps and marine charts no set-up required, sold separately on SD cards. When DeLorme announced the PN, I switched and have been using it off and on for more than a year, for a combination of day hikes and backpacking trips. And the unit itself can display any of those on screen as the navigation map. Would not power down.
The camera is surprisingly good and is especially useful for those situations, such as difficult terrain, when my Nikon is secured away in my backpack.

Thanks for the help, but I had already found my problem. Once you download them you can move them around with Explorer on your computer, but if you move them after you have created a project you will get an error message. In addition those maps contain routable roads. First, they suck down battery life. I wrote to their support email and they recommended using alkaline batteries. No tracking, no messages.
I just carry good quality rechargeables for backup. I did some hiking in various dry washes of the Anza-Borrego desert in California, and they were all indicated on the maps.
DeLorme PN GPS Review
windws Delorme has fixed the limitations of the PN and has gone on to add all kinds of further improvements. I have a PN and it works very well for me here in the US, but I bought it because I wanted the capability to have aerial photos, and delorem has excellent free base maps for the US.
If I had not gotten such a great deal on this unit with spot I would be upset, had I to do over again I would still Consider this video I put together which was using an older beta version of the PN You should call DeLorme with that question. This unit is garbage,I have had nothing but problems,1st being a fishing trip to the floida keys,one day in no power to the unit useless after getting home i sent the unit back and delorme said they fixed it,ok its working.

Established SPOT technology enables anyone you designate to track your travels via online topographic maps. Ruzicka – July 17th, I like to use these tracks to geo-reference my photos after syncing the time on my camera.
There are lots of options and lots of controls and you can get the unit to work exactly the way you want it– but there’s a learning curve to get there.
